In our tournaments, you’ll play more games with less waiting thanks to our Round Robin format, organized first by skill, then by age. Top players advance to playoffs, competing for Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals—though some are just in it for the ice cream!
We ensure a consistent experience at every event, with responsive communication during registration, quick check-in, cold water, and high-quality snacks. You’ll stay on a small group of courts, so you won’t need to lug your gear between matches.
We also occasionally feature 4-Player Team competitions in an exciting MLP-style format, with teams of 2 men and 2 women competing in Gender and Mixed Doubles, plus tie-breaker Singles. It’s always fun to compete or cheer for your team in this high-energy event.

NOTICE ON RATINGS: Depending on the software we use for any given tournament, there may be settings within this software that may dictate which skill levels you qualify to play in. Also, the software may, or may not, automatically report the results to the appropriate ratings agency. Excel Pickleball does not have an agreement with any rating agency. Therefore, we do not submit match results on a player’s behalf. If the software does not automatically report the results, it may be up to the player to report results to the ratings agency of their choice.
How Our Skill Levels & Player Ratings Work
In each event, we will have SKILL levels, ranging from 2.5 to 4.5. Depending on the tournament, we may have several AGE divisions within a SKILL level. It is the player’s responsibility to verify they are registered in the correct SKILL and AGE division. We are happy to move you if you find yourself in a pickle.
Since most players don’t have an “official” rating, and because there are too many “official” rating agencies out there, we have not aligned ourslves with one rating agency and will allow players to self-rate in each tournament/event. All players are encouraged to play in the skill division you are best suited for, not the one where you are guaranteed a gold medal. If we see evidence that a player is purposely registered for an event at a skill level that is significantly below their actual playing level, we may move them to the appropriate skill division. When registering for a Doubles event, the team must play at the skill level of the HIGHEST rated player.

Tournament Format
- Round Robin/Pool Play with Playoffs for all divisions.
- Divisions with 3 teams or less will be combined with another division.
- Divisions with 4-9 teams will play a Round Robin, with the top 4 teams advancing to the Playoffs.
- Divisions with 10-14 teams will be split into 2 Pools, with the top 2 teams from each pool advancing to the Playoffs (Max 14 teams per division). When a division reaches the 14 team MAX, we may add an additional AGE division to allow more players the opportunity to play. Daily court capacity will determine how many AGE divisions we can allow per division.
- Round Robin and Pool Play matches will be 1 game to 15, win by 2. ** Divisions with 8 or 9 teams with play 1 game to 11, win by 2.
- Playoff Pre-Medal matches will be 1 game to 15 points, win by 2.
- All Medal matches will be best 2 out of 3 games to 11 points, win by 2.
Register Early!
At the close of every tournament registration, we are always getting calls, emails and texts asking, “Can I still register?”. The quick answer is – NO! Register early! If you register and are unable to play, when you withdraw prior to the Cancellation Deadline, you will receive a FULL REFUND (less any software fees paid directly to the software provider, if any).
Refund Policy
No refunds for any reason after the CANCELLATION DEADLINE listed for each tournament. If you withdraw before the CANCELLATION DEADLINE, you will be issued a full refund (less any software fees paid directly to the software provider, if any). Registration fees are non-transferrable. No refunds will be made due to the cancellation of an event due to inclement weather.
